  • Absolutely beautiful. Congratulations Jane.
  • It is beautiful!   Love the way that you finished it!

  • Hi Jane,  how are you going with your gorgeous stitching?  I have a favour to ask.  When you get your insert for the lid of your Harmony Casket, would you mind if I came and viewed it pre installation?  I want to make one for my Casket and will use Tricia's instructions but thought it was a good idea if I could see one already made so I hopefully understand it more.  I'm still having fun designing my casket and gathering supplies, how are your double designs going?  Thanks, Sue :)

  • Hi Jane, I'm having heaps of fun designing my casket! I've still got a few more sides to draw out but I have worked out the content.  So exciting.  Your Harmony in Nature is looking AMAZING. :)

  • Hi Jane - The paper's already been sold, sorry, but in case you're interested in using Iris yourself, the sheets are 18x24 inches and I used about three to do a flat casket with doors.  Four would be enough for a slope top depending on how extensively you used the paper.  I used marbled paper to cover all the drawers, including the hidden drawers, as well as the back of the sliding panel, the hidden drawers in the top part of the casket, the removable tray in the top area of the casket, and to cover the little pincushion box.

However, I used paper backed silk to line the visible areas of the top section of the casket. If you wanted to use marbled paper there that would probably put you over four sheets.  I'm working on the last of the finishing now and will have a picture up of the rest of the interior later this week so that should give you an idea of what I did, and if that's comparable to how you plan to use the marbled paper.

I'm sure Iris could do a similar batch of paper, or something even more to your taste, her website is http://www.marblingpaper.com/ and has her contact info with pictures of various marbled paper patterns she does.

  • I love the image - can you tell me what it's for?
  • Introducing myself for the class of Sept. 2015, so exciting

  • Hi Jane

I have just signed up for COC today and see you have too. I live in Hamilton on the North Island, but get to the Wanaka embroidery school each year. It would be good to share notes on our experience with this commitment.

    Regards, Di
