  • Hi Mary,

I'm Mary Lynn Ingram from Sanford.  I grew up in Hickory (nee Isenhower) graduating from HHS in 1962.

Would love for the NC ladies to get together at some point.

How long have you lived in Hickory?  Some good friends of mine are: Katie Portwood, Mary Elizabeth Geitner (who also stitches), Ellen Menzies, Pat Houck, Sylvia Bowman

  • Welcome to the forums...there's a lot going on here. I'm glad to know there are some more class members in NC. I dont know if you've been in contact with Rita Louise Henderson and Robin from Greenville...Rita Louise says there are also members in Raleigh/Durham and Charlotte. I know it's a long way from one end of the state to the coast - I used to live in Hayesville (out beyond Franklin)

  • Hi Mary,

My name is Mary too and I grew up in Hickory.  (HHS '62)

I know another, Lee Courtney, in Asheville.  Maybe we could get together later as we work on our caskets.

    Mary in Sanford, NC

  • Hi, Mary! Welcome to the forum. Hope you weathered Sandy okay. Enjoy the class, and be sure to post pictures of your work.

  • Welcome to the forum, Mary.  Over the past few months we have had a lot of fun chatting about anything casket related (and a few unrelated topics, too), sharing pictures and, in some cases, arranging meet-ups and days out.  It is all there in the forums and in the photo albums if you want to take a look at what we've been chatting about.  Everyone is really friendly here, there is no ice to break so anytime you want to join a conversation, jump right in :-)

There is a topic called Introducing Ourselves if you would like to tell us a little bit about you :-)
