This forum is a way to share:
o Pictures of our designs and embroidery in process
o Get help on design questions
o Links to other material everyone may enjoy
o Facilitate groups of students to get together to help each other and visit historic collections
Rules of Use
1. Do not republish photos from the site without the owners permission,including on pintrest and pictures taken at museums as it is likely that permission was given only for a private forum.
2. Please use only to discuss topics related to the course
3. No republishing of museum photos or other copyrighted photos, as they will be removed. Use links or photo numbers from course material to direct people to a photo you are discussing.
Our course participants include many curators, conservators and private collectors whose photos have been licensed to the course.
4. Keep conversations helpful and positive, as if you were speaking to someone in person.
5. Conversations regarding the Cabinet of Curiosities can go in the main Forum, for those regarding the other courses - please try to use the Group it is under for sub-forums.
6. All forums are public inside this network - so even if you aren't in the class, you can view and contribute. Maybe you will decide to join the next running of it!

I have been working mostly on an 18th century crewel embroidery but am really craving a new 17th project. Once I finish my owl embroidery (very neglected as of late) I think I am going to tackle a mirror.
Water is stitched, so the Maryland Dove is on the water to celebrate Maryland Day on Marchv24.
Hi everyone, I’m new to the group and wanted to introduce myself. I’m so excited to be here and learning all I can in my casket making journey! The photos from the group are so gorgeous and inspiring and have so many ideas from them! My background is in Baltimore Album quilt making and I’m hoping to incorporate a few of the Baltimore Album techniques on my casket along with embroidery. So lovely to meet you all!
I finally did the cat for the top of my casket. Mostly happy, although the paua shell piece I used for the eye no seems almost black instead of green.
